Twitter User of the Week: @wd45
by mbernier - November 23rd, 2009. Filed under: Twitter Users. This blog has become an interesting task for me. I am writing about people that you probably don’t know and I’m trying to give you as much information about them as I can. The most interesting part of this task is that I have not known a single thing about either of the people, before they were nominated, I have written about so far. This week’s Twitter User of the Week, @wd45 (Clinton Forry), is no exception to this.
The information I received about Clinton from Last Week’s Twitter User of The Week @Nylons:
@wd45 because he’s quirky and interesting and friendly and cool. He works for PRI (which is it’s own brand of cool). And I don’t know much about him other than what I gather from his tweets. But I want to — hence this recommendation.
Oh boy was I in for a challenge!
I began my week with a little bit of stalking of Clinton’s Twitter Feed. I quickly found out that he is a family man:
He is hilarious and witty:

Clinton is the Senior Manager, Interactive Content/Marketing at PRI Public Radio International. This means that he is the man when it comes to knowing about content. If PRI is not enough proof of this, you should check out Content-Ment which is Clinton telling you exactly how things work in the world of content and Digital Media Strategy. You should check out the Content-Ment article Happy Twitter Accidents, which shows proof that people want to actually talk with the person behind the Twitter account.
A few friends chimed in to help me on my quest to figure out who @wd45 really is:
Twitter User of The Week Q & A
What is your favorite Laffy Taffy Joke (One-liner joke)?
Not actually from Laffy Taffy:
Knock knock. Who’s There? Knock knock. Who’s There? Knock knock. Who’s There? Knock knock. Who’s There? Philip Glass
What is a question to which you would answer: “D. All of the above”? And, what are A, B, & C?
What jobs has Mr. Forry held in the past?
A. Working security for the circus
B. Butcher
C. Clerk in a totally awesome independent record store
D. All of the above
What is the first thing you do in the morning?
I hate to admit it, but I turn on my computer. I have to look at it since I canceled my cable [and therefore, my MTV.] as I eat breakfast.
What would you do if you had a time machine?
Go into the future to find an invisibility cloak, because let’s face it, you are a degree of magnitude more awesome when you can time-travel AND be invisible.
OR
Go back to myself as a junior in high school to say one thing: “Worry only when it is appropriate. Rarely is it.”
What is something that not a lot of people know about you but you WISH more people COULD know?
How about three things:
1. I can identify, by ear, almost any tenor sax player recorded before 1970.
2. My Twitter username, @wd45, is an homage to my growing up on a farm. [Google it]
3. I love seeing things through from beginning to end. It is an odd fascination.
3. Even though I hate the word, I could be considered a “foodie.”
3. My sense of humor, too, is limited to 140 characters.
What question would you add to this list?
If you weren’t doing what you are doing for a profession, what would you be doing?
What song lyric sums up your life thus far?
“Nothing Brings Me Down” by Emiliana Torrini
Home alone and happy
Nothing brings me down
Full of wine, unsteady
Nothing brings me down
What’s left of the rain runs down my roof
Nothing brings me down
The night is lush the air is still
Nothing brings me down
What is the one thing that gets you out of bed every morning?
My totally awesome daughter. To a lesser extent, the opportunity to make someone laugh.
Who should I write about next week, and why?
You need to write about @JenKaneCo – she is the bomb. As far as I know, she originated the phrase, “Don’t waste it – put some meat on that tweet.” Her command of the medium of Twitter is breath-taking. And she is awesome in person.
For more information about Clinton Forry, you can find him @wd45 and on Content-Ment.
Special Thanks to @Nylons, @ms_rezai, and @RebeccaDaily for your help with this week’s article.
